Birthplace: Liverpool

Position: Defender

Biography: One of the rare breed of players who played for both Merseyside clubs. He also repeated the feat as a coach, by first joining Everton as Under 17 coach in 2002 and then switching to become Liverpool's reserve team manager in 2007. In 2009 he was appointed manager of Stockport County but left the club when new owners took over the following year. Gary died in Liverpool on 1st January 2012. He had been battling against non-Hodgkins lymphoma for some time.
