Biography: Won five England caps and scored over 200 goals in his 400 plus games for West Brom. He then managed Wolves, Atletico Bilbao, Sporting Lisbon, Walsall, WBA, Panathinaikos in addition to a spell coaching in Saudi Arabia.

Allen I asked for his autograph in 1962 at Crystal Palace, got him to sign on a old photo from a soccer album, and it was after he had scored a penalty in the cup final in 1954 when West Brom beat Preston North End. The article and the photo were entitled " Learning your number 9 times".
