Birthplace: Rawdon, West Riding of Yorkshire

Position: Forward

Biography: Never played a league game for his first two clubs, Leeds and Arsenal, signed for Bradford City in 1952 but played only six games scoring two goals. Later went on to make his name in Cricket, captaining Yorkshire, Somerset, and England. Had a stint as an England selector between 1979 and 1981 and in 1984 he was elected to the Yorkshire committee.
