Birthplace: Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire

Position: Left-half

Biography: Full England international with thirteen caps to his name, played the best years of his career at Manchester United. After working as Coach at Oldham Athletic, then Huddersfield Town, joined Mitre Sports, where he worked until retiring to Ashton-Under-Lyne, the town of his birth. He died on 2nd February 2004, aged 82. (Left Manchester United after losing his place to Duncan Edwards)
