Biography: A striker he played in the Football League between 1962-76. He is best remembered for his time at Burnley where he played between 1967-76. He scored 74 goals in 237 Football League appearances for them and 100 league goals in total. As a skilful striker he was targeted by hard tackling defenders and in 1974 suffered an injury which effectively finished his playing career. He stayed at Burnley as Youth Team Coach and then as Assistant Manager in 1979. In 1983 he became Caretaker Manager of Burnley. He then became Assistant Manager at Bury returning to Burnley as Manager between 1989-91. He then went into the sportswear business and for a time supplied Burnley with their kits. Now retired he still attends events at the club. He lives in Burnley.
