Daly, Gerry Gerry Daly has to be one of the most underrated players of his generation. Box to box player, full of stamina and commitment, always gave 100\%. He was my first real hero figure. Never had the pleasure to meet him but it’s good to hear from others who remark what a great bloke he is.

Daly, Gerry I interviewed Gerry for the school newspaper. He bought us a Coke in the Europa Suite and was a pleasure to speak to. We met him down by the old changing rooms at Old Trafford. Tommy Docherty spotted us and shouted: what the **** are those school kids doing down here!

Daly, Gerry My Aunty Sheila married Uncle Gerry. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding. My Aunty Sheila passed away some time ago. They took me on my first holiday to Malta. Lovely uncle and a great player x

Daly, Gerry Gerry Daly played in some of the early Coventry City games I attended. He was a fantastic player for us and doesn't get the credit he deserves. Too many players from the Premier league get feited as Coventry heroes who weren't fit to be his understudy. Plenty of footage of Gerry on YouTube. One of my favourites.

Gerry Played with Gerry for a season or 2 at Villa Utd schoolboy team in Cabra .What a player can remember most of that team. His 2 nephews play at my local club and we have a couple of shirts signed by him , lovely guy

Daly, Gerry I knew Gerry when he played for the Sky Blues in the early 80’s a cracking midfielder, who had a great knack of scoring important goals, he was a brilliant penalty taker. I also met him socially and found him to be a really down to earth guy who could give a fantastic rendition of Paul Simon’s The Boxer. Great memories of a really nice guy.

Daly, Gerry As a Derby fan looking back I was under the impression we'd signed him towards the end of his career...but he was only 24 and actually played more times for Derby than Man Utd...and scored more goals! In fact he played more times and scored more goals than for any club he played for.

Daly, Gerry Gerry Daly was my first football hero when I was growing up. Super player and scored goals everywhere he went. United broke my heart when they sold him a few months before winning the cup final in ‘77.

Daly, Gerry I remember meeting Gerry Daly when I was a kid. He and his wife owned a shop or garage in Ancoats. I was staying with relatives in Manchester at the time. I remember how friendly and down to earth he was, a really nice guy.
