Darracott, Terry I worked with Terry too at Dyson. Lovely guy. Fantastic with the kids and best of all a fanatical blue. Remember being on shift with him ‘that night’ when Adrian Heath scored that equaliser against Oxford in the league cup. We listened on the radio and both went crackers! The rest as they say is now history! Just a genuinely fabulous guy and it was great knowing and working with him. Tony

Darracott, Terry I ran a junior football team when Terry was Everton Reserve team manager when Howard Kendall was the blues manager. I rang him at the training ground and asked him if he would come up to speak to the kids about his football experiences and to my shock and great excitement he agreed. True to his word he turned up to training one evening with loads of stuff for the club to help the funds and spoke to the lads about football and was really friendly and encouraging to them. I think he converted a few reds to the blues as well. He kept in touch and turned up to our presentation days for years to come till they were an open age team. I must add that before one of these I had to buy him a pair of shoes in Widnes after he ripped the soles off his own shoes having a kick about with his lads in the Pear Tree (his pub) car park. What a true blue and great man.

DARRACOTT, Terry I briefly worked with Terry as a care officer at Dyson Hall Observation and Assesment Centre for young offenders (Liverpool) somewhere between 1981-84 after he retired from playing football. He asked me for a trial at Maghull FC whom he managed. I played a couple of times but wasn’t good enough and Terry let me go but thanks very much for the opportunity. He then left Dyson Hall and Maghull FC to become assistant to Howard Kendall and the rest is history. A lovely bloke and a pleasure to have met him.
