Davies, Roger I thought Roger Davies was an incredibly skilful player He should have played for England. Why did Clough not sign him at Forest?

Roger When I started my first job from school at Turners in Wolverhampton, Roger was the assigned older apprentice to look after us - the new intake. Several of us were football mad and played at lunchtimes including Roger. Finally the new intake formed the Turners reserve team and somehow progressed in the cup. This lead most of the first team to take over the next important evening game and Roger was asked to play. I always remember his stunning header from a corner slamming against the bar and coming out. I seem to remember we lost! Good memories of Roger and that time, including the other newbies like me and the antics we all got up to.

Davies, Roger When 'Cloughie' watched him at Worcester City before buying Roger, he stood on the terraces with the crowd and discussed several points of what he and the rest of our team were doing wrong. Much friendly banter and a memory made!

DAVIES, Roger I went to the same school as Roger and many, many years ago saw him at the Cross Guns. The place was humming because there was a footballer there. He got up and hugged me, "Hello Macca" he said. All the restaurant were looking, thinking who's this bloke with Roger Davis? Who does he play for?
