Biography: Hailed from the north-east but made his League debut as a Birmingham City player, having been given the chance by non other than Sir Alf Ramsey. A £140,000 transfer saw him arrive at Fratton Park in March 1983 where he instantly became a first team regular and the club's penalty taker. Over six years he scored more than his fair share of goals, many coming from the spot. Dillon was reunited with his former Birmingham boss Jim Smith at Newcastle United in 1989 and ended his career in Berkshire with Reading. He became coach and then assistant manager at Elm Park but left the club when Steve Coppell resigned in May 2009. Was appointed manager of Aldershot Town in November 2009.

Dillon, Kevin Kevin played cricket with me and Ian Atkins, Roy Mc Donough, and Ian Paul. I was captain, trying to keep that in check. The club was Old Silhillians 2nd team.

Dillon, Kevin Hi. I worked on a building site in Washington in 1989 Northumberland we built a site for Maclean Holmes’s and Kevin Dillon bought a house on the site. What a lovely man he was with a smashing wife and then I think 2 twins (lads) so they could be now about 36 or 37 now. I would love to meet back up with Kevin again and his family very good memories. Thanks
