Biography: Fred played 6 games for Dundee FC from 1958 to 1961. He then moved south to join Luton Town where he played over 200 games over a 10 year span. He was signed by Sam Bartram as a winger but made the Left-back his position his own where on the odd occasion he blasted a left foot shot passed the unexpcting goalkeeper. Fred joined Torquay Utd where he joined his former manager at Kenilworth Road, Alan Brown. After 2 seasons he moved back to Luton to live and get a job in a tailors shop, where he worked for many years. Fred is enjoying retirement in Luton where he enjoys cycling whilst in his 70's to keep his fitness up.

Jardine, Fred I’m Freddie’s nephew.
Born :- 27/9/1941.
Birthplace :- Edinburgh.
Position:- Defender.
Died :- 7/10/2019.
Freddie died in Luton where he had lived and worked since retiring from football. He was still an avid Luton Town supporter and was a regular at Kenilworth Road until his health started to decline. Freddie was well known around the town and had lived in Luton since signing for the club in1961. He embraced the town had become a proud Lutonian.

Jardine, Fred Freddie loved beating Watford, he told me so! He was on a winner there of course, all Luton fans did as well! Nifty on the left wing was our Fred with a decent shot on him... Still seen about town, hope he enjoys some more retirement years.
