Biography: A centre forward who had played non league football in the North East before joining Coventry City at the age of 23. He played in the Football League between 1969-78. His career was ended when he suffered a minor stroke when playing for Barnsley. He made 277 league apearances scoring 100 goals. He did go on to play non league football again. He opened a second hand car dealership in Sheffield and then became a car salesman for Honda in Sheffield. He retired in 2010 and lives in Dronfield.

Joicey, Brian Once Brian was playing for Barnsley against Scunthorpe,in about 1976,he missed a sitter, so I shouted Wednesday reject,he turned round laughed at me,then preceded to score a hat trick, and each time he scored he winked at me
