Lacy, John John was a hero of mine because he went to the Liverpool Collegiate and I followed him 6 years later. I followed his career mainly due to the fact that my English teacher said he was the best footballer the school had ever seen. In the early 80's I played for Northwich at Barnet and was gobsmacked to see John Lacy on the team sheet. Imagine his surprise when I started singing the Collegiate School Song to him at the end of the game.

Lacy, John John played for Barnet in 1987 and not the early 1980's. I used to regularly watch the team then and in front of crowds of 600!
