Lathan, John I went to the same school (West Southwick) as John & used to play footy with him and other "suddick" lads in his street & also on the community centre field opposite his house, Good player even then.

Lathan, John Remember John one Christmas day when there was deep snow freezing and there John was in his new Sunderland strip, boots, casey ball. Kicking that ball about. Nothing deterred him. Passionate about the beautiful game

Lathan, John I am a few years younger than John but we went to the same secondary school in Southwick Sunderland. I have a fond memory of sitting on a local bus with John and just chatting. I also remember John breaking into the first team and soring a couple in a cup game . was always a real nice guy to me.
Lathan, John Always remember when i was at Castle View and i marked him in our school match .. Managed to stop him scoreing and we got a 0=0 .. He was the rated boy ,and very fast .. Southwick was the top team in the league
