Position: Right-back
Biography: With a full trophy cabinet gained from a hugely successful career with Liverpool, right-back Lawler was persuaded to make the move south to Fratton Park by old team-mate Ian St John. Sadly, he could not help prevent the club from sliding down two divisions and was released when Jimmy Dickinson took over following 'the Saint''s dismissal. His career ended more brightly at Stockport County and when he finally hung up his boots he returned to Anfield to join their coaching staff. In recent years, his vast experience has been helping to train young kids in Skelmersdale and to entertain audiences as part of the Bill Shankly Story, a stage show with Ian Callaghan, Ian St John and Ron Yeats.
