Biography: A surprise £175,000 signing to succeed Jesper Olsen on the left flank, never popular with the Old Trafford crowd he faded from the scene, after a season on loan at West Ham failed to spark life into his career. He was released on a free transfer and ended his career with a spell in Hong Kong. Ran a pub in Bristol for a decade and battled drink and gambling addictions. Returned to Dundee and has done a number of jobs including a lorry driver.

Milne, Ralph I was fortunate to watch him at DUFC in his prime. Wonderful talent but sadly couldn’t beat his demons after retiring from football. RIP Ralph
