Biography: Was plucked from Aberdeen reserves and was a regular in the first team in his first season in English football. It was only a loss of form in his second season that resulted in his £9,000 sale to Leicester City. Later returned to Filbert Street to become assistant manager to both Frank McLintock and Jock Wallace. Also held the number two position at Middlesbrough, Man City and Sunderland before holding full charge at Carlisle. Later became chief scout at Leeds United. The scotsman is now back home and is now honorary president of Dunbarton FC.
