Nelson, Andy I was an amateur at West Ham 1955/56 when Andy was a part time professional. He often took me training round Upton Park with a friend, Malcolm Pyke, who we lost in 2020. I played in the 1955 Southern Junior Floodlight Cup Final v Chelsea which was live on ITV. We LOST 2-1

Nelson, Andy In 2010 I visited Andy in Spain. We had a long chat about his life and specially his Ipswich days. A very nice and interesting man.

Nelson, Andy I was a pupil at St Edmunds school Kesgrave near Ipswich. Andy came along to coach us. He was a great bloke. We had a lot of fun with him. He was the Ipswich town captain at the time. They had just won the Div 1 title but he still had a lot of time for us. I still have a press cutting from the local paper. I would like to wish him all the best.
Kevin.
