Birthplace: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Position: Defender

Biography: Born in Canada, made his league debut in 1974. He battled Alex Forsyth for the right back spot until making the position his own. He was a first team regular until Ron Atkinson took over as boss from Dave Sexton, and immediately signed John Gidman from Everton. Nicholl never got a look in again and was sold to Toronto Blizzard for £250,000. A former Northern Ireland international, has twice managed Raith Rovers and Millwall. In June 2010, he became manager of Cowdenbeath.

Nicholl, Jimmy Some years ago our supporters branch had a function at old Trafford attended by some of the team .Service was a bit slow behind the bar..Jimmy Nicholl had enjoyed a few drinks with us and decided to become our host ,leaping over the bar he replenished all our drinks for free ...top bloke Jimmy cheers again👏🍺🍺🍺
