Position: Defender

Biography: A defender he played in Sunderland's 1973 F.A.Cup winning team. He played for Sunderland between 1968-74. A cruciate ligament injury ended his professional career aged just 23. He then qualified as a teacher at first teaching PE and then maths. He is currently Head of Year for maths at Seaham School Of Technology.

Pitt, Richie He was my maths teacher at seaham school of technology from 2004 he hated the fact I’m a newcastle fan but was a top bloke great teacher when he was Mr Pitt to me haha

Pitt, Richie Played with Ritchie at junior school when we were about 10 years old. Both scored a goal in a cup final but lost 5-2. We both got 6 pence each off a players father called Mr Wanless. Great memories
