Biography: A popular striker who went onto become a goalscoring hero at Grimsby Town. First spotted playing for Wycombe, he found his path blocked by Derek Weddle and Syd McLellan and only managed the occasional outing during his three years on the club's books. Later returned south to become player/coach at Guildford City and was a sales representative with Lyons Cakes for 16 years. Hip problems forced to give up work at the age of 54 and he now lives in retirement in Addlestone, Surrey.

Rafferty, Ron Ron Rafferty is still alive aged 86 and living in Surrey, Ron had a brief spell at Guildford City as player-coach after leaving Aldershot in July 1969, signed for Aldershot in August 1966.
