Roberts, Bobby I worked with Bobby at Wrexham. Times were hard at the club, where he did remarkably well with no money to work with. Forged a great team ethic with the players.

Roberts, Bobby I remember in the summer of 1978 when my dad was in the Army based in Germany. My dad arranged with Colchester United to come over to the RCT regiment to do some pre-season training and play a few games with the Army and a couple of local German teams. As my dad was in charge, Bobby came over to our house in the evening for a BBQ and remember Bobby playing football in the garden with me and my brother. A few days watching Colchester United and Bobby at our house - it was a brilliant time which I will never forget.

Roberts, Bobby In the early 70’s I wrote to our local Leics Mercury sports newspaper - 'The Buff’ saying how much I admired Bobby Roberts. My husband was reading the paper & commented that a reader had written in and it sounded just like me - 'oh, it is you!'. In the 90’s we ran our own business & I used to go to the bank at Anstey. Bobby Roberts used to go in the bookies there and one day he was in the bank. I said hello and after he’d gone I told the cashier it was Bobby Roberts. She didn’t know who he was, but I enlightened her.

Roberts, Bobby Great manager at Wrexham, really lovely bloke, met him once, did a great job at Wrexham but was dealt a really bad hand before he started, total respect for a great man

Roberts, Bobby Manager at Wrexham from 1982 to 1985. Highlight during his role of manager at Fourth Division Wrexham was knocking Portuguese giants FC Porto out of the European Cup Winners Cup 1st Round before losing to AS Roma in the next round.

Roberts, Bobby Hi. My name is Paul Wright, I am the son of Keith Wright (mentioned in a previous comment, in January). Bobby Roberts married my Dad’s sister, June.
My Dad passed away in 2009 and I moved to the US shortly afterwards. Unfortunately I lost touch with Nobby and June (and their son Gary) but would very much like to reconnect. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Roberts, Bobby Bobby was years ahead of Frank Lampard but of a similar style of play. Seem to remember that he married a young lady who worked as a hairdresser at Tansleys on Hinkley Road in Leicester. I went to school with her brother Keith (Wright) who worked with Don Revie at the FA before becoming the Secretary of the English Golf Union.

Roberts, Bobby Bobby is the only player I am aware of who scored a goal without touching the ball i.e.a superbly convincing dummy that fooled everyone including the keeper.

Roberts You have omitted that his clubs also included Motherwell where he started his career and Coventry where he ended his playing days with just 2 appearances

Roberts, Bobby Bobby and i played on opposite wings for Edinburgh Norton juveniles in the 1957-58 season when we won nine trophies. Bobby scored some ninety-odd goals for the Norton. We were awarded the Lord Weir trophy when we agreed to cancel our annual holiday plans for the replay against Twechar Athletic..the first final at Cathkin was drawn one-all...and they declined to do so. Unlike myself Bobby went on to greater heights though I may deserve a place in the Guiness Book of Records for the shortest ever professional career when my leg was broken in two places in the first ten minutes of my first and only professional game.
