Shaw, Gary Played with Gary as a co striker at Kingshurst Junior school 1969-1970. 2 years younger than me but remember him lobbing the goal keeper from half way line (admittedly a short pitch) from the kick off. Cherish my photo of the school football team from that season. Fond memories

Shaw, Gary My dad went to school with Gary Shaw, they played in the same school team together. My dad was a pretty decent player too and was offered a contract at Kidderminster. One day back in about 1984 We knocked on to Gary Shaws parents house and was invited in. Gary was there in a plaster cast and on crutches. We chatted for a while and I remember him asking me what I wanted to do when I was older. I know my dad has caught up with him a few times since.

Shaw, Gary Gary and I were friends meeting on a long flight back from Bangkok and then mates for some years. Happy memories of drinking in Birmingham, going to the World Cup together in 1994 and watching the USA vs Brazil game. Then I moved south and we lost touch. Would love to get back in contact for a beer or two! Rob

Shaw, Gary Hi Gary. I played for the senior Coleshill, Colts with Jimmy Dainty, Richie Blackmore etc. We used to come and watch you on a Saturday morning in the junior 11 year old before our afternoon game as we were told what a special talent you were. Great days.

Shaw, Gary As a Scotsman I love Glasgow Celtic as a lad we all had our favourite English team mines was the Villa I loved watching them as a young boy. My favourite player was Gary Shaw I loved his skill and dedication when on the ball whether attacking or playing back helping. The early 70,s when I was living down Birmingham during our summer holiday and I met my uncles neighbours and they were loyal to villa and I was hooked line and sinker. Gary Shaw was and is my hero. Over the last few decades my beloved Celtic have had links to villa Alan Thompson, Martin O'Neil etc that made me happy. I based my own personal skills to the way Shaw played just a pity I could not even tie up his boots ha ha ha. (Gary Shaw Legend)

Shaw, Gary My husband is a mad Aston Villa supporter and has watched them since he was a little boy. He is 44 next birthday. He lives in Edinburgh, Scotland now but when he visits back home attends any home match that is on that weekend. My 6 year old son is now a Villa supporter, thanks to his dad :) . Gary Shaw is Richards favourite player. Anytime his name is mentioned he will say 'He was the best Villa player ever'. I have been trying for some time to find a way to get in touch with Gary, to ask if he would simply send a birthday card to my husband. Any chance of helping to make my husbands day. His birthday is 3rd December, so time is running out. I await your response. Kate Steventon
