Wallace, Ian When I was a kid me and my mates used to play footie on Heckley fields in Exhall on the way home from school. Ian Wallace used to come out his home occasionally which backed onto the fields and have a kick around with us. Top Top man

Wallace, Ian Sadly lost contact with Wally when I moved overseas, exceptional striker and all round top bloke never forget the day he scored a hat trick against Birmingham and ended up losing 4-3, I seem to remember Cloughie told him off for the one he missed. Visited and stayed with him in Nottingham, Sunderland and Australia.

Wallace, Ian Watched him in the late seventies at Coventry, a great player. Great partnership with Mick Ferguson. They need a duo like that now. Hope he’s doing alright.

Wallace, Ian I played with Ian as a boy in Clydebank for Spurs BC when we were 15 around 1970. Andy Gray played in the same team a year or so earlier than that. I remember playing with Ian in a Boys Brigade match. We won 15-2. Ian scored 13 goals and I got 2. He was a special talent and even then people knew he was going onto greater things.

Wallace, Ian Ian Wallace was a brilliant player and person and in his prime years he proved that with a million pound price tag he was arguably the best striker around in his day certainly one of them. He signed me as a player when he was manager of Melbourne Croatia and he became a great friend and he was a great manager. I am delighted he is doing well and I hope I can catch up with him one day in Scotland

Wallace, Ian Ian stayed in Clydebank and came to play for our St Brendans, boys guild team, with a guy called Jim Watson, we were about 11 or 12, we played a team and won 10-0. Ian scored all the goals. When we were asked by the Parish Priest why he (Ian) never came to mass we just said that Ian went to Our Holy Redeemer chapel in Clydebank.

Wallace, Ian I used to go and watch Ian during his time at Coventry City. Pairing up with Mick Ferguson they were a magical duo to watch but Ian was my favourite Coventry City player. Great days. Thank you for the memories.

Wallace, Ian Ian Wallace was an absolute legend at Coventry in the 70's. I was bought that classic Admiral sky blues strip and I thought I was him when I played football on the fields across my house. Most people my age say they loved him. Best wishes to him in his recovery. My Granddad was from Glasgow too.

Wallace, Ian my brother has been sober for 7 years now and lives a happy life in clydebank

WALLACE, Ian Remember servicing and repairing Ian's boiler. He showed me some of his old strips, one being Maradona's. He wasn't great at the time and I told him never to get rid of it to anybody.
