George Buchan

Biography: The brother of Martin, he moved South from Aberdeen but only made four substitute appearances in the autumn of 1973, and he left the club when United were relegated from Division One at the end of that season. A school teacher by profession, he worked in Oldham during his stay in Lancashire.

Buchan, George I first met George Buchan when he was signed by Glossop F.C. I played for Glossop for a number of seasons. The manager at the time was Brian Grundy I think. Brian played for Everton F.C. I think

Buchan, George PE with Mr Buchan was always top. Football football and more football. PE lessons at Grange were good times plus it would be his picks against my picks. Enjoyed knowing Mr Buchan throughout 5 years at secondary school.

Buchan, George George was a Teacher at my Senior School in Oldham (Grange). I didn't have him as one of my teachers but, being a Man Utd fan, I spoke to him about Utd and his Brother Martin. He was a gorgeous looking man at the time.

He told us to run backwards in the sports hall ,
I slipped and broken my arm & he carried me to the matron .

Buchan, George Mr Buchan was one of my teachers and head of year at Grange school. I have great memories of one particular history lesson where he walloped me on the back with a text book for "resting my eyes" 😂...and his continual stories of him and his brother Martin when they were famous footballers.
