Chatterley, Lew Remember in the sixties,we used to visit Lew &his family at their home in Brum, when he played for Villa,Chelsea were interested in signing him,but an ankle injury kept him from playing&the interest cooled.Despite being avid Birmingham City fans,my family went along several times to Villa Park yo see him play

CHATTERLEY, Lew Which schools in brum did you and lew go to wendy?

Chatterley, Lew As a kid being taken to the Villa by my uncle, Lew was my favourite player along with Charlie Aitken and Brian Godfrey. He was so versatile - defence, midfield, attack. Subconsciously, my footballing style at school was modelled on him in a number 10 shirt. Even now, despite our relegations back then, my favourite Villa kit is that of the mid 60s with the iconic Villa crest (BRING IT BACK!!) and I always but always imagine it as being worn by ..... Lew Chatterley!
