Biography: A striker who not surprisingly turned professional after scoring an incredible 141 goals in 73 games for Filey Town. Despite playing for six years with an undetected broken ankle, it was the Second World War that finally bought his career to an end. After the hostilities, he moved into management with clubs in Sweden, Italy, Greece and Barnet! Died in London in December 1977.

Crawford, Edmund My Grandad, Edmond Crawford . He managed AEK athens, and Fc Bologna. Whilst Manager at Fc Bologna he acquired a pay rise for a player, the player who was very grateful asked what he could give my Grandad as a thankyou gesture. My Grandad replied. "Give us a fag!"
