Fielding, Wally I remember Wally Fielding well. A brilliant player who never got international recognition. When I was a schoolboy I wrote to him for some tips and he wrote back with some good advice which I into practice when I played football at the time. I passed the letter on to my nephew who I was coaching at the time. Sorry now I didn’t keep it. Will always remember him for the gentleman he was

Fielding, Wally Wally Fielding came to our school at Blythe Hall Ormskirk in 1952. We were a clerical seminary at that time and Wally gave his time freely to give us hints on how to play football. It has been a long remembered pleasure and to this day never forgotten piece of charity by this 78 years young Everton supporter. May he rest in peace
