Hince, Paul I remember running the full length of Maine Road to get Colin Bell’s autograph. As I got closer realised it wasn’t the king! Big fan of Paul’s even had my photo taken with him after his 2 goal debut game. Happy days.

Hince, Paul Glad to see Paul (& 3 others) finally recognised with a league winners medal for 1967/8. When I was captain of Monton CC, in the mid ‘70s, Paul was the MEN reporter covering Manchester Association cricket and I enjoyed our Sunday morning chats, when he called to discuss the previous day’s match. Nice guy, good sense of humour. Called his autobiography ‘Memories of a failed footballer and a crap journalist’!

Hince, Paul Paul grew up near me in Ladybarn, south Manchester. We used to play football in Ladybarn Park every night and we played together for Ladybarn Albion in the Rusholme Sunday League.
He played outside right, and was small but very quick. His nickname was Sixer. Alternative explanations are that it was because he was so small, six inches, or because he frequently asked to borrow six pence. He was just an ordinary lad, but was always very popular with the ladies.
He married a local girl, Sue Mayhew, who I believe died some time ago. I understand that he now lives in North Wales.

Hince, Paul I worked at the Ashton Reporter when Paul was there and on a couple of occasions played in the same team against other newspaper teams. Being a Manchester City fan of many years I was thrilled to see him play for City. I think he was not given a chance in the team
