Birthplace: Malling, Denmark

Position: Defender/midfielder

Biography: "Benny" followed former Newcastle United boss Jim Smith to Fratton Park and stayed a couple of seasons during which time he played in midfield and defence. A Danish international, Kristensen played for his country in the 1988 European Championship and won a total of 20 caps. He returned to Denmark where he helped Aarhus Fremad win promotion to the Danish top division. Worked as a sales manager for Hummel International for four years and is now owner of The Ranch and a director of Radio100FM Àstjylland.
