Biography: Alan became the first sub ever to score a goal in 1965 and returned to Scotland, living near Motherwell and worked as a maintenance engineer.

Lawson, Alan As a young apprentice pro at latics i remember alan well he was as hard as nails and as a Centre-half myself i tried to play the game like him for the rest of football days
