Nish, David David was a member of my tennis club, Netherseal, along with his uncle Harry. I played as his mixed doubles partner in the Burton-on-Trent area league as well as the area tournament in the early late 60s. He ran a pub for a short while in Donisthorpe in the 80s, which is when I last saw him.

mick bucknall David used to be a good tennis player. He would come to Burton on Trent in the summer and take part in tennis tornaments.Myself and friends being Leicester supporters used to go and watch. We would be kicking a football about and he would come and play with us.I managed to get him to present the trophies at my subbuteo club and later in his career i played against him in a Sunday league game when he was with Moira United.Claim to fame i saved his penalty.
