Norman, Maurice I’m a huge Spurs fan and my parents lived in Frinton. During my school holidays I played tons of golf at Frinton GC and some of my happiest days were golfing with the “Gentle Giant” and a wonderful man, Leslie Holloway on their Wednesday days off. Ray Hall was the pro who encouraged so many Frinton juniors and the likes of Maurice and Leslie helped a junior like me to learn to behave properly with adult golfers. Much appreciated and happy memories. Every time I visit Frinton I think of those Wednesday rounds .. Cheers

Norman, Maurice I worked with Maurice at Murco petrol station in London, N20 in 1968. He was learning the trade as if I remember rightly, he was buying a garage in East Anglia. Really nice down-to-earth guy.

Norman, Maurice When I was about 10 years old, I wrote to the BBC and asked if Maurice could come on the radio and answer a question for me, it was ,did he ever play centre forward for Norwich City reserves, I knew the answer because I watch the game, and yes Eamon Andrews Had Monty on his tea time show, and answered my question,

Norman, Maurice Used to play in the Swardeston &Mulbarton side before he signed for Norwich.We both got relegated to the reserves when we lost to Hempnal 5-0 one Saturday refused to play for the first team again after that.Happy days.

Norman, Maurice I met Maurice when he worked for the Benacre Estates Co. at Wrentham, where he then lived next to the fish & chip shop. I remarked to him that I thought that Bill Brown was a better goal keeper than Pat Jennings. He appreciated my comment as a supporter but said that as a defender he was often saying "Where are you Bill" .

Norman, Maurice I remember Maurice when he lived in Enfield and I would talk to him on my way to play tennis at the club to the rear of his house and he would be cleaning his vauxhall car behind his garage, this would often be on Sunday morning after a match on Saturday. What a nice chap, how things have changed. I wonder if he still goes to White Hart Lane.
