Swindlehurst, Dave Played with David at C/P before moving to Bath City. We used to go on holidays with my parents. That was the good old days.

Swindlehurst, Dave I also went to the same school as Dave and we took the same bus every day from Cricklewood (226)

He was incredibly fast and we also played in the school cricket team where he was a fast bowler.

The FA Cup win against Leeds in 1976 when Dave scored for Palace was a massive giant killing at the time.

Swindlehurst, Dave Played with him at Palace and was at the time my best mate. Great guy.
16-01-22 Stanley Williams

Swindlehurst, Dave Dave played with me in the Vets league at the back. He could pinpoint a 70m pass with ease. He was also full of banter on and off the field.

Swindlehurst, Dave November 1980 West Ham played Derby County in a midweek game at the Baseball Ground. Me and several other West Ham fans walked in to a restaurant. Swindlehurst was having a meal with Alan Biley. (who had scored one of the goals in a 2-0 Rams victory).
Despite their initial apprehension,we all got chatting had a great night. Made the defeat a bit easier to take!
3 years later Swindlehurst become a Hammer!

Swindlehurst, Dave Dave was a very good teller of jokes and clearly a talented footballer. he grew up on the railway cottages in Cricklewood where we all lived and played football on a concrete field. He once took a penalty against me just after he had signed for Crystal Palace, he hit the ball venomously straight at me and I was stupid enough to try and stop the ball with the palms of my hands. I was suddenly double jointed in the wrists.
today 22/9/19 he's featured in the mail on Sunday with Steve Kember and Jim Cannon reminiscing of their glory days at Palace and Glory days they seem to have been! good to see they are all enjoying retirement form the game!

Swindlehurst, Dave After Palace dropped from tier one to tier 3 in the 70's, Dave Swindlehurst with his goal scoring abilities was considered the player to bring them back up.
22-11-18 John Mc Cormack

SWINDLEHURST, Dave I attended the same school as Dave and he played as a left winger in the school team. I played at left back. He was the best player for me as he was incredibly fast. I just needed to punt the ball forward! I assisted a hat-trick that he scored in the Barnet cup final - we won 6-1 !

Swindlehurst I played against him in an Orpington & Bromley District League game for Black Horse Old Boys vs Keston Rovers in the early nineties. We lost 12-0 and he rang rings round us and probably scored a few.
