WHITEHEAD, Norman I watched the Dale in the promotion season 1968/69 when Norman was a real star on the right wing I'm doing a series of articles about those days in the Rochdale programme for 2018/19 - the 50th anniversary of our first promotion. It would be great to talk to Norman about his time at the Dale if anyone can tell me how to get hold of him. Perhaps the bowling club might be a good place to start but any ideas welcome. I've already done a couple of interviews with players from that squad.

WHITEHEAD, Norman I used to watch Rochdale a lot when Norman played. Really good player. I went to watch an away cup tie against Crystal Palace then in 1st Division (as it was) and Norman ran them ragged and scored a great goal from 25 yards. The local fans were full of praise. The tie ended 2-2 but the 'Dale lost the home replay!
