Biography: A professional with Aston Villa who also played County Cricket for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire, he founded Office Cleaning Ltd in 1980 and became a Director of Luton Town in 1977. Took over as Chairman seven years later and was behind the controversial idea to ban away fans from Kenilworth road in 1987 to save on Policing costs. He remained in charge until 1989, two years after being elected as Conservative Member of Parliament M.P. for Welwyn Hatfield. He retired in 2002 and died in Boston, USA, in October 2008.
