Biography: After retirement, Lowe worked as a coach for the PFA, before moving to Wigan Athletic as a coach. He then moved to Derby County as the head of the youth academy, as well as being caretaker manager for one game in 2009. His game in charge was a 1-0 cup win over Manchester United. He left Derby in April 2009.

Lowe, David Remember David from my youth he was a couple of years older than me! But we all played for Bovis also Jimmy Willis also a City player! & all trained together at the Netherley sports hall regardless of age! it give you the confidence to play against anybody playing kids a lot older! thanks to the likes of David's Dad Tony who was the founder of the Club! & helped the Community kids follow their dreams.
