Biography: A skilful,effervescent midfielder he brought a cocktail of flair,zest and determination to the game. Whilst at West Ham United he appeared in the F A Cup Final of 1975 and the European Cup Winners Final of 1976. He played in the Football League between 1968-81. He finished his playing career in Hong Kong with Eastern AA. In 1985 he joined the coaching staff at Portsmouth then followed Alan Ball to Stoke City in 1989 as his assistant.When Alan Ball was sacked in 1991 he became caretaker manager until the end of the season. Thereafter he became assistant manager to Jim Smith at Portsmouth until 1995 when they were both sacked. He later worked as a scout for Jim Smith at Derby County and then did scouting for Liverpool and Leicester City. He took up a coaching role in Brunei in 2003 and stayed there until 2005. He died of a heart attack in November 2007 aged 57.
