Biography: Signed for United as an apprentice straight from school in May 196, and became a professional 23 months later. He was only 19 when he made his only first team appearance in place of Billy Foulkes in March 1964, for a 2-0 win over West Ham, marking Johnny Byrne out of the game. After failing to break into the first team again, he was given a free transfer in May1966 and moved to Brighton. Went into coaching with Swindon, then managed non-league sides Witney Town, Banbury United and Hungerford Town. Is now retired living in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.
