Clubs played for: Oxford United, Southampton Derby County, Liverpool (1980-1998)

Biography: Oxfordshire born central defender. Joined Southampton after just ten league appearances for Oxford. He developed into a very reliable defender who made 45 appearances for England scoring once. He also went on to have successful playing spells with Derby and Liverpool, after playing he moved into the managerial circuit and has managed Southport, Oxford United and Peterborough United. He has also managed Chester City on three separate occasions.
