Biography: Bishop Auckland born forward, signed from Newcastle and formed a great goalscoring partnership with Ted Bates he later maintaind his prolific goalscoring form for Preston Middlesborough and Darlington before retiring aged thirty six from a knee injury. He later became coach at Everwood Town and worked for The Scottish and Newcastle Brewery as a Sales Manager. He died aged 83 in 2006
