Biography: The Northern Ireland school boy international was discovered by United's legendary scout, Bob Bishop, who discovered George Best. He was signed from Linfield Rangers in July 1974, but he couldn't make the break through into the first team squad despite being a regular for the reserves in the two seasons that he spent at Old Trafford. After being given a free transfer in November 1976, he joined Sheffield Wednesday. Spent a number of years on the back room staff of Linfield before quitting in 1996 to work for Radio Ulster, which he combined with being an electrical sales rep, a job he started in 1985.
