Biography: Was one of a string of goalkeepers signed to provide support for Peter Bonetti when Tommy Docherty paid Portadown £5,000 to secure his signature in December 1961. Made his league debut in the 4-0 drubbing suffered at the hands of Everton in March 1962 as the club hurtled towards relegation. Was released after a handful appearances and returned to Northern Ireland to join Glenavon. Became Export Sales Manager for Barbour Threads in Lisburn until his retirement in 2002. He continues to live in County Down.
