Biography: Ed was on Pompey's books in the early 50s. He played in the reserves primarily and a few friendlies. He lost his sight in his right eye in a reserve match and subsequently moved to Canada. Returned to Portsmouth many times over the years and played in several Pompey veterans' matches including Alan Knight's testimonial... when he was 72!

Abrook, Ed Just found this re my husband. He had his first trial for Portsmouth when he was 13 under Bob Jackson Who was manager at the time. He signed after serving with the SAS in Maylaya. His nick name at Pompey was Superman Because of his physique.
