Biography: Sheffield, born defender/ midfielder started his career as a youth player at Sheffield United where he became manager in 2011 He made more league appearances for Saints than any of his other six other clubs, was a regular during Saints first season in the Premier league, released by Alan Ball and rejoined Ian Branfoot at Fulham a club which he was later to replace in a player manager capacity. He has since also gone onto manage eight more clubs with mixed success including three promotions and two manager of the year awards.
