Position: Midfielder

Biography: An attacking midfield player he played in the Football League between 1971-90. In that time he made 473 league appearances. After this he played non league football for Horwich,Atherton Colleries & Flint Town. He coached at Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End whilst he also managed a newsagents for three years and was a postman for 18 months. Later he delivered fresh fruit & veg to hotels and restaurants in the Southport area. He lives in Ormskirk.

Ainscow, Alan Ok...he may not remember me, but I used too work in his local corner shop on Lever Stan I have served him many many times.he an his brother would come in regular, usually just as we shuttin,. would often have slippers- on, that's always stuck in my mind his name just came up in a conversation via f/b..with me an my friend from back then late 60s...funny how some things stay in yer head as silly as this....x
