Ayris, Johnny Tremendous player. Would had been one of West Ham's best if it hadn't been for Ron Chopper Harris bringing him down and ruining his career with a nasty ankle injury.

Ayris, Johnny I was a year behind Johnny at Grammar School. As well as being a great footballer, he was also a great athlete. For a short man, he was a great high hurdler. I remember the school sports where he pipped Jimmy Brown in the hurdles final. Jimmy was also a great footballer.
