Biography: As a centre forward, scored an incredible 93 goals in 144 games for Arsenal. Won three full England caps, although he had played for Scotland schoolboys as a youngster. Ended his playing career at Raith Rovers, before taking over as their manager in 1974. He later ran a pub in Craigneeuk, and worked in the building trade. Suffered a heart attack and took to after dinner speaking and some coaching in the Motherwell area for the S.F.A. (Played for AS Torino in Italy for 12 months proir to joining Arsenal. The Italians paid Hibs £73,000 for him). He died on 6th October 2003 after suffering a heart attack during a charity golf tournament.
