Barnes, Peter In the late 70s used to hang round Maine Road watching City train and getting autographs etc. One day the coach was due to leave for an away game but couldnt as Barnes had not turned up. Half an hour later he appeared puffing and panting and flustered. He had forgotten to adjust his watch to the seasonal timechange clock and hadnt realised the real time! His team mates gave him some stick that day! On another occasion the City were training at their complex in a residential area. There were houses opposite but were far enough away to be safe from any wayward shots--or so thought. Peter proved me wrong however with the most wildest, inaccurate shot that went so high it must have frightened the martians! The ball ended up in someone's front bedroom via a loudly shattered window!
