Baxter, Billy Billy ended up playing 5-a-sides on Friday evenings with us in Dunfermline in the mid 80s. We regarded him then as an auld man, but he was of course in his 40s. We were mostly in late 20s/early 30s but he was impossible to pass ! We now tell our children and grandchildren that we played with one of the English League's greatest players !! We still play, even though some of us are now early 60s !!! We were all sad to hear of Billy's passing, but we knew he hadn't been well for some time.
