Biography: Started at Bury before being transferred to Manchester City for a then record fee of ?45,000. In a particularly successful four year period he was a key member of the City team that won the Football league, European Cup winners cup, and League cup. Played over 400 games before having to retire early due to injury. Ran his own 80 seater restaurant in Manchester until 1989 but returned to Maine Road to work as Youth Development Officer and as a club ambassador.
